A chatbot that answers visitors and hands you the lead
A visitor reads your page at 9pm with a question the page does not answer. Can you come on Saturday? Do you cover Medford? Is the first visit free? Without an answer, they close the tab. A website chatbot answers right there, collects their details and tells you the next morning who asked what.
This is the website part of our AI assistant. Magnet Mint is a Boston studio, and we write the answers from your own website, price list and customer questions. You approve every one.
What the chatbot does, step by step
- Finds the questions. We read your site and ask what customers ask before they call.
- Writes the answers. Short, clear, in your voice. You edit and approve them. The chatbot answers from this list.
- Sets the greeting and suggested questions. Visitors see two or three buttons for the most common questions, so they do not have to type.
- Collects the request. Name, phone or email, what they need and when.
- Hands off to a person. Questions outside the list, urgent requests and visitors who ask for a person go to your team with a summary, so nobody asks the visitor to start over.
- Tests and launches. We try it on phone and desktop with real questions before it goes live.
- Tunes it. For the first 30 days after launch we adjust answers based on what visitors really asked, within the agreed scope.
Design that does not get in the way
A chat widget is a small button in a corner. We keep it out of the way of your phone number and your main button, match it to your colors and keep the first message short. On a phone it should open in one tap and close in one tap. If it covers something visitors need, we move it.
WordPress and other site builders
The widget is added as a plugin or a short script. That works on WordPress and on most builders that allow an embed. If you run another platform, tell us at the start. We can also add it to a new site we build, as part of your AI assistant.
What makes this different, in checkable facts
- It answers from answers you approved. You see the list before launch.
- Every lead reaches a person, with a summary of the chat.
- Scope, price and timeline are agreed in writing before work starts.
- One named person leads your project. We write the answers. You approve.
- The first 30 days after launch include tuning and fixes within the agreed scope.
- It connects to the tool you already use, such as Calendly, Acuity Scheduling, Square Appointments, HubSpot or GoHighLevel, or we help you choose one.
Chatbot, live chat or contact form?
A contact form is fine if you get a few inquiries a week and reply the same day. Live chat with a person works if someone is at a screen all day. A chatbot helps when questions repeat and arrive outside working hours. Many tools have free plans, so a small business can try one before paying. Tidio’s free plan lists 50 conversations a month as of October 2026. What you pay us for is the setup, the approved answers, the handoff and the tuning. AI disclosure, clinics and law firms
The chat tells visitors it is an AI assistant, in the greeting, not in small print.
Clinics, such as dental, medical, chiropractic and PT offices, should keep patient information out of chat unless the chat vendor signs a HIPAA business associate agreement. That includes names tied to appointment requests, not only symptoms. Without a BAA, the chat answers general questions and sends visitors to your booking page or phone. Law firms get intake and scheduling, with no legal advice, and attorney advertising rules apply to what the chat says. This is not legal advice.
What it costs and what is not included
Website chat and messaging: from $199/month. Setup: from $900, usually 2-3 weeks, with the first month included. Prices are as of October 2026.
Not included in any price: domain and hosting, new photography, third-party software subscriptions (billed at cost), SMS carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) and message fees, and AI usage above the plan allowance.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
It is for owners whose site gets visitors but few inquiries, or whose team answers the same questions by email all week. It is not for sites with almost no traffic. Fix that first with a clearer website and complete profiles. A free demo shows how customers see you today.
