Customers compare you in seconds. Do you know what they see?
A customer who needs a plumber, a dentist or a cleaner no longer calls one number and hopes. They search, open two or three sites on a phone, glance at reviews, and more and more often ask an AI assistant to compare. If your reply is slow, your listing has an old phone number or your site does not say what you charge or where you work, they move on. You never find out.
When customers compare in seconds, competing on price alone is a race nobody wins. The way out is to be easy to choose: facts customers can check, a fast reply, easy booking, real reviews and follow-up. This check shows you where you stand on each.
We start with your website. Then we improve your business one step at a time, and you choose every step. This check comes first because it tells you which step matters most.
What we check, step by step
- Your website, on a phone. We open it the way a customer does: on a mobile screen, on a normal connection. Can they read it, find what you do and where you work, and call with one tap? Does the form work?
- Your listings. We look at your Google Business Profile and your other main listings, such as Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Connect), Bing Places and Yelp. Name, phone, hours, services and service area should match everywhere. Apple Maps, Bing and AI assistants can all draw on these listings.
- Reply speed and quality. We make one test call and send one test inquiry by form or text. We note how long the reply takes, whether a person or a voicemail answers, and whether the reply helps the customer take the next step.
- What AI assistants say. We ask ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, and record whether you are named and what is said.
- The write-up. Written findings in plain words: what a customer finds, sees and hears at each step, and what is missing.
The deep check adds three things: a comparison with the competitors your customers weigh you against, several test inquiries across channels (calls, texts, forms, messages) at different times, and a fix plan in priority order.
Customer experience audit checklist: what we look for
This is the shape of a customer service audit for a small business. Each line is a question we answer from what we see, not from opinion.
- Found: do you appear when someone searches for your service in your area, and is the information the same on every listing?
- Understood: within five seconds on a phone, can a visitor tell what you do, where, and how to contact you?
- Priced: does the site say what a job costs, or at least what it depends on and your “from” price?
- Answered: how long until a real reply to a call or an inquiry? What happens after hours?
- Bookable: can the customer book or request a time without a long back-and-forth?
- Trusted: are reviews current, answered and specific? Are licenses, insurance and guarantees shown as facts?
- Followed up: does anyone come back to the customer who asked and did not book?
- Named by AI: when an assistant is asked for a business like yours, what does it say?
What makes this different, in checkable facts
- A real test, not a template. We contact your business as a customer would and describe what happened.
- Your listings together, not one at a time. Google and the other main listings are checked side by side, because maps and AI assistants draw on different ones.
- Plain findings, not tool output. You read what a customer experienced, in words you can act on.
- Honest about AI. We cannot control what ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode or Perplexity recommend, and nobody can. We report what we saw and what is missing, and you can repeat the test later.
- No lock-in. The findings are yours. You can fix everything yourself, ask us for help, or do nothing.
- Scope, price and timeline agreed in writing before work starts. One named person leads your check.
What it costs and what is not included
The standard check is from $395 and takes 5 business days. It covers your website, your Google and other listings, one test call and inquiry, and what AI assistants say about you. The deep check is $750-$1,500 and takes 2 weeks. It adds a competitor comparison, several test inquiries across channels and a prioritized fix plan.
Not included: fixing what we find, domain and hosting, new photography, third-party software subscriptions (billed at cost), and SMS carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) and message fees. If a test text is needed, it is a normal message to your number.
Which version to choose
Choose the standard check if you want an outside view of the basics: is the site clear on a phone, do the listings match, does a call or an inquiry get a useful reply, and do AI assistants name you.
Choose the deep check if you keep losing jobs to particular competitors, if you get inquiries through several channels (calls, texts, forms, Instagram or Facebook messages), or if you want a fix plan you can hand to a team or a contractor.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
The check fits an owner who sees some leads but suspects others slip away, who keeps hearing “too expensive”, or who wants to know whether AI assistants name the business at all. It works for dental offices, salons, med spas, contractors, cleaners, law firms and similar businesses.
It is probably not for you if you have no website and no listings yet. Then the next step is a site, and the free demo is the better start. It is also not a legal, tax or accounting review.
How to start
Use the form on this page or call 617-991-9912. Our AI assistant answers and passes your request to the team, which is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET. You can also ask for a free demo first. We will tell you honestly whether the standard check is enough or whether the deep version is worth it for your business.
